We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator who wants to deepen and broaden their expertise in Cyber Security and Large Scale Data Analytics as their next career move. Our ideal candidate is someone with solid experience with MSSQL, PostgreSQL, ETL, and relational database systems.  You will be a key contributor to optimizing query and table performance, protecting data availability, creating queries, and managing the database disaster recovery process for a 24x7 operation.  As a Senior Database Administrator, you’ll get the opportunity to impact the development of our new DevOps tools, procedures, and integrations.  You will work with a collaborative team of Data Architects, Administrators, and Developers to “transform data into information.”  

Security On-Demand offers cyber security monitoring and machine learning analysis of data to identify security threats. Legal Requirements:  Work Permit in Poland

Work teams: Warsaw and the United States

Location:  Near Pl. Zawiszy - Atlas Tower

Monthly Salary range: PLN, Negotiable, Based on experience

Polish and English competency min: B2

Contract types available: B2B or international Contract

Experience and Skills

A qualified candidate will have

  • 5-7 years of related experience with MSSQL and PostgreSQL
  • 5-7 years of related experience with ETL and Relational Database Management System (RDBMS)
  • Expert level of experience in creating and optimizing SQL queries
  • Strong experience with database monitoring systems and alerting

 

Desired experience

  • Strong technology background and a general understanding of database engineering and cloud-based database technologies
  • Strong background of working with remote teams and collaboration tools such as Slack
  • Familiarity with data warehouse methodologies, data encryption, and message bus technologies such as Apache Kafka
